O wow... I haven't done anything on this blog. Well, I have to admit that I had and sitll have lots of opportunities to post new stories but I'm too "busy." YES!
haha I'm joking... well...I was being lazy...or I'm sooo lazy...
School I go to just started and some classes already gave some presents for me which were....EXAMS. Even though I get sick of getting presents from school, they are VERY dumb so they just give you tests. Oh yea, after giving tests, they also give you another present: GRADE!!! O well... I guess I should be delightful for getting presents from the school, whether I DETEST it or not.
Okay...this is my current situation and I'm not gonna talk more than this since my purpose of keeping this blog is to talk about a song...
To be honest, for me, it was really difficult to find a song that draws my attention and that can be written for this blog. I don't know why, though. I cannot force myself to withdraw my thoughts for analyzing songs if they don't attract my attentions and so far, every songs has failed....until NOW.
I assume that almost everybody who read this blog knows....U2. BUT just in case, I would LOVE to briefly introduce U2~~ Well, U2 is one of the most popular modern/alternative rock band in current world. Most of their songs have catchy/poppy melody and profound lyrics/themes that carry some messages toward this world/society. Also, there is BONO, a vocalist. In my opinon, Bono has really really awesome voice. Other than Bono, if you want to know about them, then just wiki it. I believe that Bono is the most important band member in U2 PERIOD
There are some songs I like from U2 but this song, especially inspired me to search modern rock songs: Walk on.
According to U2, it was a theme song, tributing Aung San Suu Kyi, an activism who is fighting for freedom in Burma. In order to praise and suppor her, U2 wrote this song. However, I'm not gonna focus on this theme for describing this song. Because I think this song is more than a just theme.
First of all, it has only few chords and it's not that even hard to play this song. Also, it's not even hard to sing this song, too (well ... even I can sing this song hahahaha). What are elements that make this song really special enough for me to write about it other than theme?
It's all about lyrics. I don't think it's that poetic ...but I do think that it's amazingly profound, straight-forward. Sorry, I couldn't find a word that has meanings of "amazingly profound, straight-forward." First, lyrics isn't that hard to interpret unlike other poetic lyrics. It's still meaningful but that doesn't mean that it's poetic. Being poetic is more than just meaningful (somehow it has to be mysterious that most readers won't understand by reading it in once and they will somehow figure it out by reading it more than once later. That's the beauty of being poetic.) Besides, this lyrics is directly telling listeners the message: Walk On. I believe at least some people can predict a song's message by reading those two words: Walk On. It's very powerful and straight-forward yet it also is meaningful.
Walk On. Some people would think that it's all about keep walking. Well, everybody who lives here walks, right? For walking, almost everybody has a purpose of walking. Walking to a place, walking for exercising, walking for getting rid off the boredom, etc...However, when you read or hear lyrics of this song, he or she can realize that this "Walk On" is more than keep walking for random purposes. It's talking about a person who is walking on the path of his or her life and this song tells him or her to keep walking. First verse talks about that a person can meet a very harsh experience which can affect him or her to stop living in the life. Yet, on chorus, it tells one to walk on because one has done lots of achievements on his or her life which is so precious that nobody can steal it from one...and pretty much...it's all similar to each other...
Sometimes, a person has to get rid off a thing in order to live that can be really painful. For an example, we all know that our parents will pass away later even though ALMOST of us love them. But whether you love them or not, eventually they will go away... and for some of us, it will be really difficult to accept this fact....especially when parents passed away when a person is young....and some of us give up their life since they begin to feel miserable and start to suffer the pain of being lonely and lack of love... By the way, a thing here can be anything... basicallay, it's everything that affect your thoughts negatively about
your life.
This subject...it's really sensitive to talk about it. I mean everybody already lost a thing but it can be both same and different. However, depending on his or her resilience, some would eventually walk on and some won't. AND somd would give up their lives.... Please don't call them stupid even though they give up their lives... unless if you understand them 100%, you have no idea how much pain they have suffered...whether the cause can be small or big.
However... although living in this society is pain in our butt, I do believe that breathing the air is one of the finest and the most beautiful thing ever you can do. I mean, since you are living, you can do most things in this world. You can see, smell, feel, hear, talk, etc. Imagine that you are nothing. Basically, you can't do anything. You are just a part of the darkness. You can't feel, hear, smell, feel, hear, talk, etc.
It's pretty sad that a thing can turn a person into a part of the darkness...and if a person gives up one's life just because of thing, that would bring others sadness too...Do you really want to see their tears coming out from pain that are suffering because of you?
Don't let it overwhelm you. You are more than anything. You are that special existence. Leave everythings that you are having of things causing you to give up your life behind. Yes. Indeed, it's painful to let it or them go if it's related to you....BUT please walk on. You still have legs to walk. You still have a heart to make you walk. And you still have others to care about you. After walking on the rough road, you will see the sunshine for the happiness of the future. Don't you want to see smiles from others rather than tears from their heart? You don't want to be a part of the darkness. It's boring there....
yea...this song basically tells you to not to give up. It kinda emphasizes that a person cannot avoid pain but by walking on, a person can achieve greater thing in later life like a singing bird in "open cage." Well I guess I have to walk on my life with tests in order to get something greater ......
STILL I HATE TESTS THOUGH!!!
ps. if you click the title like "U2 - Walk On" it will lead you to youtube page that contains a song

Crash into me - DMB
Finally... I began to write again in order to lead yall to my world hahahahaha~
I'm terribly sorry for those who really really wanted to see my new posts on my blogspot (I hope there are at least two people who really want to travel through my world~) hahahaha jk~
Anyway, in past few weeks, or few months, I encountered many events in my life. In January, my laptop got broke so I had to spend money in order to fix it which I really detest about it. But there are some good events too. I mean it's always balanced like that: there would be some good events and some bad events.
Months ago, I posted a status of my facebook to get some requests for songs that I can try to describe with my own visions and I got several songs. So, first of all, I am gonna start with this song, "Crash into me" by Dave Matthews Band, because this was the first request from my "client" of this blogspot hahahaha
Well, this song is pretty much about a boy who have been fallen into love to a girl.
I mean, I don't even have to write any specific lyrics to prove this point because it's too obvious. hahahaha this is the end.
jk... well the reason I said that it's about a boy's love is because lyrics contains some pure thoughts about love of a boy or I say a teenager. When you either read or hear lyrics, stuffs that come out from it are usual diction choices for boys who write all those poems about love. Like "sweet like candy".....duh...."In a boy's dream".....duh......
If you listen to the song, some people would begin to think about their first love or at least some reminiscences about their past love. The song itself is pretty "clean" about describing a boy's feeling and it kinda makes a person to wonder about his or her experiences....
To be honest, right now, I'm trying to write this as positive as I can... since I'm not that amazed of "pure" love... Most people would agree with me that while a person is in relationship, it won't be that sweet as what he or she thinks. Because of this fact, this is gonna cause some serious conflicts for those who still don't have an "enlightenment." Well, this song is pretty cute to me but other than that, I don't feel sympathy with it though.
This doesn't mean that I hate being myself in love or in relationship though. I've already witnessed and experienced the power of love and I never considered it as a negative thing. However, the power of love doesn't come without any corrupted problems. Most stuffs that come from ideas of "pure" love ended up as tragedies most likely (Of course, there are exceptions but it is really rare to see though).
The song is nice to listen though...basically, listening to this song is like reading a nice little "pure" romance story lol.
